Historical details: The name of Caracalla under which this emperor is known is that of a long dress which he had adopted. He married Plautille and succeeded his father with his brother Geta. A cruel and belligerent emperor, he sowed misery and mourning on his way. He was assassinated at Carrhes at the instigation of Macrinus. Caracalla inaugurated the 1st Antonian.
