Historical details: Artaban II was a descendant of Arsace on the maternal side. His reign was troubled by numerous rebellions. Around AD 35, the city of Seleucue revolted, which also concerned his successors. He had 2 legitimate sons: Verdans I, Artaban III and probably an adopted son Gotarzes
